First, there was one girl in all the world.

For centuries, one girl in each generation, the Slayer, fought the vampires, the demons and the forces of darkness.

NOW THERE ARE many.

The Slayer of her era, Buffy Summers, and her friend, the witch Willow Rosenberg, gave the power of the Slayer to every “potential” in the world. Then there were thousands of slayers, overseen in their fight against evil by the reborn Watchers Council.

THE WAR HAS BEGUN.

Earth is under threat from the army of Zorgy, Empress of Vor, who blames the Council and their world for the invasion of Vor many years ago that resulted in the destruction of her family. At a high cost, the Council was able to capture and interrogate Zorgy, but the Empress has now escaped so easily that it seems she was toying with them all along.

ThE WORLD’S DEFENDERS ARE AT EACH OTHER’S THROATS.

As Zorgy escapes, the Council’s Spring Formal descended into chaos as the twins Jen and Alex Rosenberg engaged in a brutal brawl, the latest in a long series of bitter conflicts within the Council that already led to Chairwoman Grace Hatherley firing their mother, Willow, just as the world is under the greatest threat. Emotions are running so high, some think they may be under a curse. But what kind? And can they stop it before they falter and find the entire world is in for…

The FALL Pt. 1

Three Different Locations Simultaneously – Continuous

Triple Split Screen:

In her bedroom, Willow appeared deep in thought about the question her masked online informant had asked. Back at the Council, Liz was on the ground outside, flanked by Martin, Maddie, Susan and now Belizet, who had just arrived.

Several feet away, Alex continued to stand over his sister, looking down at her. Simultaneously, they all wore a look of awareness as they spoke the same two words at the same time from their respective locations…

“We’re cursed.”

Jen was faced with Alex’s legs on either side of her. He stood above her, his face a mix of wonder and concern.

“Oh my gods,” he said as he reached a hand down to help her up. “Jen…”

Nearby, with the other teens’ help, Liz hobbled toward Rowena and the two siblings. They watched as Jen smacked Alex’s hand away, then grabbed his legs and yanked, taking him off his feet. He went down. Hard. And groaned out in pain.

“Jennifer!” Rowena yelled. “Stop this now!”

Her daughter didn’t listen, and when she pushed herself to her feet, she quickly moved to stomp on Alex’s head. However, he deflected her with magic and rolled out of the way, coming to his feet.

“You win,” Alex panted hard, trying to reason with her. “Just stop,” he practically begged, with his hands outstretched in a gesture of peace.

She paid him no mind and began to throw punches, which he continued to deflect with magic.

“Jen, listen,” he yelled as he moved backward toward the parking lot.

She refused to relent and continued to issue blow after blow. The yelling of Rowena and Liz didn’t seem to stop her. For his part, Alex continued to block her moves, without advancing on her. He kept trying to talk to her the entire time.

“It’s like a spell!” he shouted as they continued to spar. However, with every strike, the color began to fade on his barrier, until there wasn’t one anymore. His eyes went wide, and Jen smiled as she raised her fist.

Watchers Council – Detention Area – Same Time

In the room with Zorgy’s now-empty cell, the demon empress stood over Shannon and smirked. Twin portals swirled behind her, one inside the cage and the other outside the bars.

The slayer, whose back was literally to the wall, waited until the last possible second and thrust her taser into Zorgy’s midsection, hitting her with all the volts it could muster. Surprised, Zorgy staggered backward, just for a second. This gave Shannon enough space to assume a full fighting stance.

Zorgy caught her balance after getting zapped, hands on hips. “Seriously?” she snorted. She was breathing harder after Shannon’s attack, but only a little bit.

Shannon stood her ground. “You want the Council, you still gotta go through me.”

“Not actually a problem for me,” the demon replied.

Without further preamble, Shannon stepped forward and took a swing at Zorgy. She stepped out of the way, almost casually, and the slayer’s fist met only air. As her momentum took her forward, Zorgy reached out, grabbed the front of her collar, and pulled.

Before Shannon could get her feet under her again, she barreled directly toward and into the portal through which Zorgy had just escaped her cell, disappearing instantly. The same moment, she stumbled back into existence through the portal inside the cage.

With a click of the heels of Zorgy’s red sneakers, both portals winked out of existence even more quickly than they had appeared. Shannon looked around, momentarily disoriented. She now found herself trapped inside the cell meant for the demon, who was now outside the cell. A split second later, her eyes went wide in realization.

Zorgy pointed at her. “Stay, bitch,” she ordered in the same tone one would use to talk to a dog. Then, without any hurry, she walked out of the room, letting the door swing closed behind her.

Shannon remained in the cage, alarms still blaring around her. In frustration, she slammed both hands on the inside of the bars. This resulted only in a loud clang.

Jen connected with Alex’s head. Once. Twice. Three times. His body went limp, and Jen continued to raise her fist to hit him yet again.

“God, she’s gonna kill him,” Liz muttered beside Rowena.

“Enough,” Maddie hissed. Then she jumped up and rushed toward Jen.

Rowena closed her eyes, and her mind screamed out, “Willow! Jen is killing Alex! Make her stop!”

Rosenberg-Allister House – Kitchen – Same Time

Willow seemed in good spirits as she talked with Buffy and Xander. She pulled the lever on the ice tea canister she had removed from the refrigerator as she spoke.

“Get this: the amulet is a totem detector. I’m not sure how it detects just yet, but that would explain my underlying feeling of black magic.”

She closed the door with the glass in hand and turned to face them. “That means…”

Unexpectedly, Willow looked confused. She dropped the glass she was holding and grabbed her temples in intense pain. A look of pure fear showed on her face, and Buffy and Xander raced toward her as her knees began to buckle.

“Jennifer! Stop!” the witch screamed. Buffy and Xander looked at each other in fear and confusion as they guided Willow to the ground.

Jen had her arm cocked and ready when the sound of her Ma’s scream echoed through her head. In her other hand, she held the front of Alex’s shirt. She paused for a moment, before a look of shock and horror took over her face. Unseen by her, Maddie was racing toward her on her right side.

Jen dropped Alex’s shirt, releasing him, and he fell unceremoniously to the ground. She looked at her bloody knuckles and her unconscious brother. She opened her mouth, but before she could speak, a thunderbolt hit her dead center in her chest. Maddie dove to the ground to avoid the sparks. They all watched Jen fly off of her brother and move through the air before crashing onto the windshield of a Jeep Trailhawk about fifteen feet away.
