This episode is dedicated to the late Michelle Trachtenberg.
Producer’s Note: You might remember Watchers has a rule that we don’t use deceased performers in our stories. You might have noticed in this mini-series that characters ‘spoke’ to Ethan Rayne, but we never saw him. Sadly, Robin Sachs passed, too, but we wanted to honor the character by including him. With that said, we won’t see Dawn again after this episode because Michelle is gone. But that doesn’t mean the character isn’t somewhere in the Watchers-verse going forward. As for this episode, the story was essentially finished at the time of Michelle’s unexpected passing. That is why Dawn makes an appearance here in this, her final episode, which is also the final episode of Watchers: Revamped. We offer our heartfelt condolences to those who found joy because of Michelle. She will be missed. ~ CN Winters

Last time on Watchers.
First, there was one girl in all the world.
For centuries, one girl in each generation, the Slayer, fought the vampires, the demons and the forces of darkness.
Then, there were many.
Witch Willow Rosenberg gave the power of the Slayer to every “potential” in the world. With thousands of slayers to fight against evil, the reborn Watchers Council spent decades openly protecting the world.
But that protection ends now.
Earth is under threat from the army of Empress Zorgy, who blames the Council for the destruction of her home world, Vor, nearly twenty years prior. With Zorgy’s forces hellbent on bringing an end to Earth, it’s up to the Council to rally the planet to face their greatest challenge in decades.
Can egos be put on hold long enough to save humanity?
Will tempers still be running hot after falling victim to Zorgy’s curse? Can the high-ranking Council members and their loved ones come together in time? While it’s true both sides believe they will be victorious, only one will prevail, with the knowledge that pride goeth before…

Australia – Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park – Early Morning
A group of Anangu women were singing loudly in a circle. They wore dresses decorated with various geometric shapes or patterns that resembled animals. The dresses looked vibrant or dilute in colors of red, brown and orange that matched the landscape and rock towers around them. A younger Caucasian male in an outback hat approached them. He was flanked by five men and six women, all of whom moved closer to the group. They stopped several feet from the singing circle and when the singing stopped, the choir began to depart. However, one of the women turned to face them. She closed the distance and approached the young man, who stood at attention with a look of admiration on his face.
“Palya,” he said with immense thankfulness in his Australian accent.
The woman’s face showed no emotion as she approached. When she was within two feet of him, she gave the slightest of grins.
“Win,” she said in English.
He gave a single firm nod and watched as she slipped past him. In her wake, he saw the circle the choir had constructed, a circle of red rocks. He stepped forward and his party followed.

Africa – Kabushiya, Sudan – Pyramids of Meroë West – Night
In the distance, King Arkamani’s granite and sandstone pyramid seemed like a dark shadow when compared to the thousands of stars in the late-night sky. A middle-aged man, wearing a brimless, short, round kufi cap, led five men and six women, dressed in similar African attire, toward the center of the pyramids. Each member of the team held something that couldn’t be seen clearly in the darkness. He and the others strode with purpose toward their destination.

Japan – Lake Kawaguchiko – Daybreak
Light just began to appear over the ridge of Mount Fuji. A woman with long, dark hair, in her mid to late twenties, held a round cup with both hands. Silently, she looked ahead to the mountain as she brought the cup to her lips and took a sip. She resumed watching the horizon but, as she stood in silence, a slight nervous look graced her porcelain features. Gently, the hand of a young man came to rest on her right shoulder, giving it a light squeeze.
“Hana?” he said softly.
Upon hearing her name, the corners of her mouth curled upward in a slight grin before she turned to face him. He motioned with his head in the opposite direction, and she turned to follow him.

Germany – Baden-Württemberg – Black Forest – Night
Tall spruce and fir trees lined the path where a blonde middle-aged woman led eleven others – six men and five women. The hoot of a nearby owl seemed to echo all around them. Each of them wore a satchel over their shoulder as they continued deeper into the forest. A light fog rolled around their feet, as if it was following them.
Suddenly, a lynx crossed their path and everyone stopped, human and animal alike. Their eyes met and no one moved. The woman gave a small nod to the animal, who almost seemed to do the same in return. It then moved its head, as if gesturing to follow it.
Without looking back to her group, the woman motioned them to follow her as she let the big cat lead them. After a few moments of this, they pushed their way beyond the path to find a large clearing. Once everyone had arrived, the lynx seemed to nod again before scampering back into the dark forest.
The woman looked around, appraising the area. She nodded confidently.
“Hier,” she told her group.

Los Angeles, California – 101 Freeway – Afternoon
The several lanes of the 101 resembled more a parking lot than a highway, and although the cars were moving inch by inch, second by second, it didn’t seem like it. Andrew sat in his convertible, looking frustrated. He looked up the exit ramp. In the distance he could see the building marked as the local Watchers Council branch, and slightly further away the Hollywood sign. Nervously, he glanced at his watch.
A few seconds later he gave a sigh of relief as he saw a car backing down the side of the off ramp and coming to a stop with its blinkers on. The door flew open, and Tracey jumped out and started to run down the ramp. Andrew put his car in park and stood on the seat, then started to wave his arms to catch his wife’s attention. Traffic began to move forward slowly, except for Andrew. Vehicles honked around him as Tracey waved back and began to run toward him, dodging the slow-moving cars. Likewise, he left his car and started toward her. Horns continued to blare.
“Go! Go!” she yelled to him. She waved back toward the car she just left, ready to free him from the gridlock of the highway. She was going to run past him to get to his car so they could trade, but he snagged her by the waist between lanes. He pulled her into his arms and then gave her a deep kiss that lasted several seconds.
“You’re the best,” he told her when they pulled away.
“Yeah, I know. Go,” she told him and gave him another quick kiss. “I’ll meet you there.”
Andrew nodded. Tracey literally jumped into his car and walked over the passenger seat to the driver side. Before leaving, though, Andrew stopped the car in front of him and waved Tracey over. She drove the car into that lane, trying to get toward an off ramp. “Go!” she told him again.
This time he ran toward her parked car. Once he hopped inside the vehicle, he began to drive up the side of the off ramp toward the surface street where the Council was located.

Cleveland – City Street – Evening
The city was eerily quiet. Just as times past prior to battle, wildlife seemed to have fled the city already. Not even a bird tweeted. When this was coupled with the lack of human presence, the only sound was a light breeze that could be heard blowing between the buildings, creating what sounded like a moan. The nearby highway was silent, and the surface streets were the same.
At the center of one of the streets, surrounded by high rises, was a solitary woman. She sat crossed legged, her wrists reclined against her knees and her back upright, not hunched in the slightest. Each of her thumbs rested against her index and middle fingers.
Slowly Willow’s face came into view. Her eyes were closed. Her features showed no emotion – no fear, no contentment, no nothing. She just continued to sit alone in the vacant street with her eyes closed. Even the sound of a great big swirly portal nearby didn’t break her concentration.
Several yards up the street, a green portal opened, and Zorgy stepped out alone. Just as quickly as it opened, it closed again. She began to grin as she watched Willow sitting in the street, completely alone. As if sensing a trap, she began to examine the Council vehicles that were parked around them. She cocked her head curiously when she didn’t see or hear any movement nearby.
She grinned briefly but it didn’t last long. It quickly contorted into a look of anger and vengeance as she threw both her hands in Willow’s direction. Two beams of light shot from each hand and raced toward the witch.
As the beams shot toward her, Willow retained her composed state, unchanged. The beams got closer and closer. Willow still didn’t move a muscle. Milliseconds from impact, she opened her eyes. When she did, the beams appeared to hit her at full force. Light sailed in several directions, breaking nearby windows in the process.
